Last week, after a 15-hour deliberation, the NBA, team owners, and the players agreed to a new CBA, expected to be ratified within this week. This was welcome news for all of us NBA fans, and all signs point to a 66-game season and a year full of drama and excitement.
On December 1st (NYC time), the league agreed to open the training facilities to players, and if the CBA is officially ratified and the players' union reformed, then training camp begins on December 9, with a two-game preseason spread within two weeks. December 25 will be the tentative start of the new season, with the Dallas Mavericks raising their championship banner and receiving their championship rings prior to their 2011 NBA Finals rematch with the Miami Heat. The Christmas Day tripleheader will also see the 2011 MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls meet the Los Angeles Lakers, and in the appetizer, the Boston Celtics take on the New York Knicks.
As mentioned, 66 games were to be played, and for better understanding of the schedule, here's what NBA.com provided on their website.

It is still unknown whether the All-Star Weekend in Orlando, Florida will be played. In 1999, there was no all-star game in a 50-game schedule. In the coming days the schedule will be officially announced, and hopefully, that includes the all-star game. That would depend, however, on how the league will structure the season overall.
For now, all of you NBA fans can't wait to see LeBron, D-Wade, Kobe, Durant, D-Rose and all the players, even rookie top pick Kyrie Irving. The NBA is back, and the basketball world is waiting.
